Position Overview:

The MYP Teacher will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and managing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in alignment with IB standards and best practices. The teacher will work closely with students aged 11–16, colleagues, and parents to create a challenging, inquiry-driven, and internationally minded learning environment. This individual will also collaborate with the school leadership and the IB organization to ensure high-quality programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver subject-specific lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
• Design inquiry-based, interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Develop unit plans following MYP global contexts and assessment criteria.
• Monitor and assess student progress using IB MYP assessment practices.
• Guide students in Personal Projects (Grade 10) and interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain accurate records of student portfolios and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with IB authorization and evaluation requirements.
• Engage parents through meetings, reports, and workshops.
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team for effective programme implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with B.Ed.
• IB MYP teaching experience (IB training preferred).
• Strong understanding of MYP concepts, criteria-based assessment, and ATL skills.
• Excellent classroom management and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in educational technology.
