Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and attention to detail
• Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement clients’ skin tones and preferences
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and workstations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Provide excellent customer service by listening to client needs, offering professional advice, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Upsell additional services such as nail enhancements, body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Stay current with the latest trends in nail care, styling techniques, and new product offerings through ongoing education
• Assist with retail sales of nail products, skincare items, and beauty accessories to meet sales goals

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology required
• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques including gel application, acrylics, nail art, and cuticle care
• Familiarity with color theory to assist clients in choosing complementary shades and designs
• Excellent communication skills to understand client preferences and provide personalized recommendations
• Experience with hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, body waxing, dermabrasion, and barbering is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic work environment at all times
• Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining a positive client experience
