Nanny and House Manager

Nanny and House Manager needed for a busy family in Amherst, MA, caring for two children, ages 4 and 8, starting as soon as possible. The weekly schedule is Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 6:30pm, and Saturday or Sunday (5.5 hours to be discussed and agreed upon with the Nanny) with flexibility to arrive early or stay late, on occasion with notice. The Family will guarantee 27.5 hours per week and would love to find a long term fit (1+ years).

A great fit for the children is engaging (imaginative play, reading, arts and crafts, board games, outdoor play), communicative, provides clear expectations, firm but loving, consistent, structured, unflappable, and organized. Someone who thrives in a busy home and has a natural intuition to jump in and support where needed would fit well into this role. Household support will include family laundry, simple meal prep and cooking for the children, keeping household inventory, packing/unpacking for children’s travel, organizing and tidying, grocery shopping, and running errands.

Driving is required for this role with a vehicle provided. Nanny must be a safe and responsible driver and comfortable driving in all weather conditions.

The family has an 11-year-old dog who will need to be let outside.

One parent works from home 1-2 days per week in a private office.

Compensation: $35+/hour with paid vacations, paid holidays, and paid sick time. All pay on the books through payroll.
