Nanny (Bilingual Mandarin Chinese, Full-Time Live-In/Relocate, 3 Kids)

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person full-time live-in and travel nanny to care for three children (a 4 year old boy + 2 year old twins) throughout the year while traveling nationally/internationally and at their home based in San Francisco, CA 94131. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right nanny or early childhood educator: a full-time live-in travel position that pays $150,000/year. This is an immediate opportunity, but the start date can be flexible.

Looking for a full-time bilingual Mandarin/English live-in/travel nanny in San Francisco to take care of and provide fun early education-related activities for three children, on property and while traveling with the family as needed. The live-in nanny will manage and handle all children’s tasks and logistics (childcare, schedules, meals, inventory management, play dates, activities, kids laundry, kids travel) and oversee age-appropriate early childhood activities for toddler through kindergarten.

Looking for a nanny or early childhood teacher who is engaging, organized, flexible and physically fit. (Applicants should have no trouble pushing a stroller with 2 year old twins up a hill or carrying them up three flights of stairs.) The right professional will be a team player, self-starter, and problem solver who is excited about providing live-in childcare and fun early education activities in real-world contexts, including location and culture when traveling. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, and must be comfortable living and traveling with the family and working on the go in a travel environment.

The right nanny/early childhood teacher will have experience caring for and overseeing multiple young children simultaneously, and the proven ability to oversee age-appropriate activities. Candidates should be able to show examples of previous childcare experience or early childhood teacher experience for ages 6 and under. Prior experience in formal educational settings or learner-led experience like Montessori as well as homeschooling, microschooling or world schooling would be a plus for this position. Candidates will be expected to take care of the children, communicate regularly with parents regarding expectations, and be able to oversee fun hands-on learning and enrichment activities that spark age-appropriate creativity, problem-solving and curiosity.

Candidates should be able to speak both Mandarin Chinese and English fluently, and have a minimum of 2 years experience providing childcare for toddlers and young children. (Prior professional live-in and extended travel experience working for a private household is preferred, but not required.) Prior early childhood teaching experience is also preferred, and a BA in early childhood education and/or homeschool experience or a certificate in learner-led teaching (Montessori, Reggio, etc.) is a plus. Requirements: Bilingual Mandarin Chinese/English, minimum 2 years childcare experience caring for toddlers through early elementary (extended travel/live-in experience is a plus). Minimum 2 years teaching experience is preferred, but not required. (A degree in early childhood education and/or homeschool experience or a certificate in learner-led teaching is a plus.) Must be well-organized and physically fit enough to carry children. Must be able to live at the family’s residence (or nearby) in San Francisco 94131 and travel as needed nationally and internationally up to a few months at a time.
