Nanny (Part Time) Simsbury

• Family Assistant / Nanny (Part-Time) – Infant & School-Aged Support
• A warm and easygoing family is seeking a reliable and nurturing Family Assistant / Nanny to support their household in the afternoons. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping a busy mom stay organized while providing attentive care to both an infant and a school-aged child.
• The position begins with a few hours focused on assisting mom with her infant son (2 months old at the time of hire) before transitioning to helping with the family's 7-year-old daughter when she returns home from school. The family is looking for someone calm, helpful, and proactive who can naturally step in where support is needed.
• Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week minimum. Flexible afternoon schedule within the window of approximately 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Typical shifts may include: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
• The family can offer flexibility within these scheduled hours and may occasionally offer additional hours for appointments or date nights.
• Responsibilities: Assist mom with infant care and general support during the early portion of the shift Help care for and engage the family's 7-year-old daughter after school School pick-up and transportation as needed (family car provided) Age-appropriate activities, homework support, and general supervision Light family assistant tasks related to the children such as tidying play areas and organizing children's items Light cooking or meal prep is a plus but not required

• Compensation$25 – $30 per hour depending on experience
• Benefits Paid sick time (1 week) Paid federal holidays (1 week equivalent) Mileage reimbursement if personal vehicle is ever used.
• Start Date: The family is hoping to find someone who can begin within the next two weeks.
• Additional Notes:The family is seeking someone dependable, warm, and easy to work with who enjoys being part of a supportive home environment. Spanish is a plus but not required.
