Nanny/Caregiver for 9 year old

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nanny/Caregiver to provide attentive care and support for a lively 9-year-old child. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment while engaging the child in educational and recreational activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and experienced in childcare, with a passion for fostering growth and independence. You will play a vital role in ensuring the child's well-being, development, and happiness through responsible caregiving and engaging interactions.

We live in Fleetwood, NC and are seeking someone to help with child care on weekdays (possibly occasional weekends). While we have some flexibility in the schedule, we would ideally be looking for consistent help at least 3 days a week, if not more. Exact hours can also be flexible, but would need to be consistent. We are seeking for someone to start as soon as possible. This role would continue past the summer. If you are only looking for summer employment, please indicate this when reaching out.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with child through play, games, and outdoor activities
• Pickup and drop off child as needed for activities
• Prepare meals and snacks as needed
• Assist with homeschool activities such as basic reading and math
• Assist with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, and bedtime preparations
• General household cleaning
• Administer basic first aid if needed

Experience

• Prior experience working with children of similar age or younger
• Prior experience working with children with special needs or demand avoidant behavior
• Experience tutoring is a plus, but not a requirement

Open to employment for a parent who may be caring for other children as well, but would need to discuss specifics. Candidate needs to have their own reliable, safe transportation.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
