Full Time, Separate On-Site Housing Offered

Compensation: $40–45/hour + Benefits

Start Date: ASAP

Primary Location: Clark, Colorado (depending on start date, the role may begin at their home in Key Largo, FL)

Description: An active, adventurous family is seeking an experienced live-in Nanny/Educator to provide dedicated care for their 6-year-old son. This is a child-focused role designed for a career nanny who is confident balancing education, structure, and high-energy outdoor engagement.

The family lives on a working ranch and travels frequently. The ideal candidate is outdoorsy, socially confident, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable integrating into a dynamic, travel-oriented lifestyle. This position is best suited for a nanny, not a classroom-only educator, who can manage routines, transitions, and boundaries while building a strong bond with the child.

Child: One child, 6 years old

The child is energetic, curious, and highly physical. He thrives with hands-on, lifestyle-based learning and spends a significant amount of time outdoors. Interests include hockey, jujitsu, wrestling, ranch activities (horses, fishing, driving utility vehicles), skiing, STEM kits, and interactive learning experiences.

He is homeschooled, with academics capped at approximately 3 hours per day using established curricula. The remainder of the day focuses on outdoor play, enrichment, movement, and experiential learning. He responds best to firm but loving boundaries and a caregiver who can engage him authentically while supporting transitions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. Flexibility is required during travel periods.

Live-In Accommodations: Private, one-bedroom home on the family’s property. The home includes a private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area, and living space. This is a separate residence from the main home, offering privacy while remaining close to the family.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing full-time, developmentally appropriate care for one child
  • Supporting learning through play, nature, and lifestyle-based education
  • Preparing the child’s meals and cleaning up child-related dishes and play areas
  • Driving to and from activities (family vehicle provided)
  • Supporting daily routines, transitions, and consistent boundaries
  • Collaborating closely with parents on education, routines, and health needs
  • Traveling with the family as required

Requirements:

  • Significant professional nanny experience (education-only backgrounds are not sufficient)
  • Strong experience with school-age children
  • Active, outdoorsy, and physically engaged
  • Confident setting gentle, consistent boundaries
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving in snow
  • Valid passport
  • Comfortable living on a ranch with multiple dogs (no personal dogs permitted)
  • Flexible, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable to frequent travel
  • Bonus: Medical background or experience with feeding therapy or health-related care
