Nanny/Mother's Helper

Job Overview:

We are seeking a responsible and loving individual with a passion for working with children to join our team as a part-time Nanny/Mother's Helper. Currently have an almost 5 year old, almost 3 year old, and baby due in June. As a Nanny/Mother's Helper, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care for children in a safe and nurturing environment. Must have a loving personality and be actively interested and invested in children's development. Must be adaptable to parental preferences regarding discipline, eating, schedules, screen time, cell phone usage. Looking for long-term placement. Currently need Mondays 8-6, Tuesdays 10:30-2:30, and Wednesdays 8-6. Able to negotiate Mondays and Tuesdays, but Wednesday is fixed at this time. We are not in a rush and seeking to find the right fit - will likely request 2 trial days prior to proceeding with contract. This is a W2 role. We offer guaranteed hours, PTO, paid holidays.

Duties:

- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote their development

- Light meal prep (generally warming up pre-cooked food but open to preparing foods as needed)

- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children

- Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, schedules, and any specific requirements

- Provide supervision and ensure the safety of the children at all times

- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to childcare. Mother's Helper duties include picking up groceries (that are pre-ordered), children's laundry, washing bottles/cups/dishes used by children, organizing and cleaning toys, emptying diaper genies and restocking children's items as needed, rare school drop off/pickup

Requirements:

- At least 7 years of professional experience caring for multiple children. Must have experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool age children

- Knowledge of infant care, preschool activities, and child development

- CPR Certification

- Covid, flu, and TDap vaccination

- Non-smoker

- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with children

- Ability to engage children in educational and recreational activities

- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children

- Awareness of safety regarding sleep, choking hazards, and general childhood safety

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
