Nanny/Student Behavior therapist

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Nanny/Student Behavior Therapist to provide exceptional care and support for children with diverse needs. This dynamic role combines nurturing childcare with behavioral therapy techniques to foster positive development and create a safe, engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working closely with children, implementing behavior management strategies, and assisting families in promoting healthy growth. Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive childcare for a 9 year old ensuring safety and well-being at all times
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans to support children with behavioral challenges.
  • Engage children in educational activities, play, and developmental exercises aligned with their age and needs
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and promoting healthy eating habits
  • Assist with daily routines such as school pickup, bike riding, doing homework and taking to jiu jitsu or other activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties related to childcare areas
  • Use first aid skills promptly when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently
  • Collaborate with families and therapists to track progress and adapt strategies for each child's growth

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in childcare settings such as daycare, babysitting, or nannying roles
  • Experience working with children who have special needs is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and familiarity with teaching or therapeutic strategies for children
  • Experience demonstrating patience, creativity, and adaptability
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
