Job Description:

The Narcotic Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records for control substances and narcotics within accordance to state and federal laws. The Narcotic Technician will audit the anesthesia control records on a daily basis and contact physicians to resolve discrepancies. The Narcotic Technician will understand and maintain the Pyxis inventory systems. This position will place all the narcotic orders for the Inpatient Pharmacy.


Required Skills:

1. Typing speed 30 wpm.
2. Personal Computer experience.


Required Experience:

A. Work Experience:
Two (2) years as a Pharmacy Technician.

B. Education and Training:
High School education or GED.

C. Licensure/Certifications:
Current Registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
