Company Overview

Pop Sips is a high-growth startup in the beverage space, producing a spiked probiotic soda positioned at the intersection of functional wellness and adult beverages. Backed by Passion Tree Co, a parent company with established roots in the food and beverage industry, Pop Sips is rapidly scaling distribution across major national retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, Whole Foods, and H-E-B.

With a targeted exit in the next 18–24 months, this is a unique opportunity to join a brand during a critical growth phase with meaningful upside potential.

Position Overview

We are seeking a National Account Manager / Key Account Manager to drive retail account growth, relationship management, and execution across key national and regional grocery partners.

This role will be instrumental in scaling Pop Sips’ presence within existing retail partners while identifying opportunities to expand distribution, improve shelf positioning, and drive velocity.

This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, fast-paced startup environment and is comfortable owning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth

  • Own day-to-day relationships with key retail accounts (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, Whole Foods, H-E-B)
  • Develop and execute account-specific growth strategies to increase distribution, placement, and sales velocity
  • Partner with buyers and category managers to expand shelf presence and promotional activity

Retail Execution & Performance

  • Monitor account performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to drive growth
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies
  • Ensure strong execution across retailer requirements, timelines, and deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and marketing to ensure alignment with retailer needs
  • Support forecasting and inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Provide input on category insights and competitive positioning

Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, negotiations, and strategic discussions
  • Identify new opportunities within accounts (line extensions, new SKUs, additional regions)

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in CPG sales, account management, or retail-facing roles
  • Proven experience managing grocery or mass retail accounts
  • Strong understanding of retailer dynamics, category management, and sell-in/sell-through strategies
  • Ability to operate independently in a lean startup environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in beverage, functional beverage, or alcohol categories
  • Exposure to high-growth or early-stage brands
  • Strong analytical skills (pricing, promotions, trade spend, retail performance data)

Travel

  • Approximately 15–20% travel (primarily for key retailer meetings and occasional field visits)

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
