About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dispatch Trip Coordinator & Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the transportation and moving industry. No prior dispatch experience is required — we provide full hands-on training to the right candidate.
In this role, you will be a key part of our daily operations: coordinating moving crews, communicating with customers and field teams, and ensuring every move runs smoothly from start to finish.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Dispatch & Coordination
- Dispatch moving crews and ensure all teams are equipped with the necessary details, materials, and equipment before departure
- Monitor crews in the field throughout the day, providing real-time support and updates as needed
- Coordinate scheduling, routing, and logistics to keep all jobs running on time
- Assist foremen, drivers, and crew members with any issues or changes that arise during a move
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatched jobs, crew assignments, and operational notes
- Communicate and coordinate with internal colleagues and management on a daily basis
Customer Service
- Answer inbound calls and messages from customers, responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries
- Provide customers with accurate updates, ETAs, and status information throughout their move
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner, finding solutions that protect the customer relationship
- Increase client satisfaction and positive recommendations by delivering a high level of service on every interaction
- Follow up with customers as needed to ensure a positive experience from booking through delivery
Administrative
- Perform administrative duties including processing orders, forms, and required documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, technology platforms, and operational procedures
- Participate in scheduled team meetings and ongoing training opportunities
- Support the operations team with various day-to-day office tasks as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — you will be on the phone and coordinating constantly
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Calm, professional, and solutions-focused when handling pressure or difficult situations
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable — this role directly impacts the customer experience
- Basic computer and typing skills; comfortable learning new software and systems
- Collaborative team player who communicates clearly with coworkers and management
- High school diploma or GED required
Preferred (Not Required — We Will Train)
- Prior experience in dispatch, moving, logistics, transportation, or customer service
- Familiarity with dispatch or moving management software
- Experience using customer communication platforms (text, email, CRM tools)
- Knowledge of the moving or transportation industry
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus — not required
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
