National Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

Diversified Roofing Group is seeking a National Procurement Specialist to lead strategic purchasing and vendor management across our organization. This role requires a big-picture thinker with an operations analyst mindset, capable of driving cost savings, negotiating favorable terms, and leveraging technology to optimize procurement processes. The ideal candidate is mentally agile, highly organized, and a self-starter who can balance strategic planning with tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a national procurement strategy for roofing materials, services, and equipment.
• Utilize local, regional, and national contacts to negotiate terms, rates, and payment structures.
• Manage rebate programs, including annual negotiations and follow-up on rebate checks.
• Track and report cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
• Assist General Managers by centralizing purchasing and negotiation tasks.
• Oversee inventory management across multiple locations.
• Write and develop standardized procurement processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services.
• Leverage analytics, AI tools, and ERP/CRM systems to improve efficiency and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field (roofing experience a plus, but not required).
• Strong background in contracts, bidding processes, and vendor negotiations.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) and comfortable with ERP/CRM systems.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in AI-driven solutions for procurement and analytics.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
