Job Summary:
The Superintendent position is an administrative position overseeing and administering the onsite day- to-day general operations which include safety, inspections, weekly logs, etc. of one or more construction projects, typically from start to finish of each project.

Order and coordinate necessary temporary utilities required for project at mobilization.

Develops a schedule for completion of an assigned project.

Coordinates and schedules the daily work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.

Create weekly “3-week” look ahead schedules with input and buy-in from subcontractors.

Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.

Collaborates with architect, engineer, attorney, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met.

Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.

Coordinates with city, county, state, federal and any other AHJ’s for required inspections, approvals, permits or certifications.

Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.

Maintains records related to costs deliveries and inventory.

Maintains Daily Logs to include all daily activities, weather, tasks completed, subcontractors present, inspections, etc.

Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.

Holds weekly safety meetings of toolbox talks.

Maintains hazmat resources and safety materials.

Collaborates with union representatives to answer questions and clarify procedures.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.

Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.

Thorough understanding of quality building practices.

Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.

Ability to work in a paperless, cloud based environment.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a superintendent

Including at least five (5) years management experience in the construction trades, or the equivalent combination of training and experience

Must have minimum 10-Hour OSHA Certification. 30-Hour OSHA Certification is strongly encouraged.

Valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.

Ability to stand for a prolonged period.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop and kneel.

Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
-
Must be able to lift, overhead a minimum of 20 pounds.
Will be exposed to a variety of outdoor conditions and typical jobsite environment
