About the Role

To provide an authentic and engaging outdoor nature program to children in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) in a manner that is God honouring and consistent with the school's vision to provide a Christ-centred education in a learning community of Love, Nurture and Service. The team member is responsible to the Principal through the Head of Junior School and Director of the ELC. This is a permanent full-time position with four weeks annual leave (various shifts available). The ELC is open from 8am - 6pm and educators are expected to work within those hours as per the roster.

Essential Criteria
  • Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and also in their social, spiritual and academic development.
  • Demonstrate an interest and joy in nature and a willingness to spend most of your days outdoors.
  • Have excellent communication skills especially with young children.
  • Have well-developed interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and professional team culture.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team member including the ability to critically reflect on your practice and attitudes and how these affect the wider team culture.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to attend and participate in professional development opportunities.
