This role is available until 31/03/2027 as a secondment to existing employees of College of Policing, Civil Service and officers/staff of a UK police force/policing organisation.

Our vetting
If you are successful at interview, you will be required to undertake pre-employment security checks. You will be sent a security questionnaire which must be accessed within 24 hours. National Centre for Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) & Public Protection (PP)

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the National Centre for Violence Against Women and Girls & Public Protection (NCVPP) within the College of Policing. The NCVPP provides support to forces in tackling the threat of VAWG and PP and improving our services to victims. You will also work with academics, victim groups and across Government to support our ambition and to ensure our work reflects the lived experiences of diverse communities.
We are working to continually train and upskill our officers and staff with the specialist knowledge and expertise required to carry out their roles effectively. We also continue to develop programmes, expanding on existing best practice with a focus on perpetrators and preventing life-long harm to victims.

These roles will be a primary and vital link between the National Centre for VAWG and Public Protection (NCVPP), the College of Policing, and key partners including the Home Office. Sitting within the Operational Delivery function, the Business Coordinators will operate at a national level, supporting the effective coordination, alignment and delivery of priority work across NCVPP portfolios.
These are fast-paced and evolving roles, focused on ensuring delivery is coherent, well-coordinated and aligned to NCVPP strategic priorities and government commitments. Working closely with Delivery Leads and programme teams, the roles will help manage dependencies, monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and ensure delivery remains on track through effective coordination and escalation where required.
A central aspect of both roles is enabling delivery at scale across policing. One role will support a broad VAWG and public protection portfolio, working across multiple national workstreams and stakeholders. The second will support the delivery of Operation Soteria, focusing on structured programme coordination, tracking implementation and supporting consistency across forces.
Both roles will support senior leaders to remain informed, prepared and connected to delivery coordinating briefings, updates and engagement across internal teams and external partners. They will also play a key role in building strong working relationships across the College of Policing, NPCC, police forces and wider stakeholders to enable effective collaboration and delivery.
The roles entail travel to College of Policing sites, forces and partner organisations across England and Wales.
