Overview
Safeguard Medical Transport is a fast-growing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provider serving Southern California. We transport ambulatory, wheelchair, and gurney patients with a focus on safety, timeliness, and compassion. We’re looking for a dependable NEMT Dispatcher and Office Manager with experience using NEMT dispatching logistic platforms, especially Route Genie and understands Medi-Cal Processes
Responsibilities
The NEMT Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily transportation schedules, monitoring real-time trip activity, communicating with drivers, ensuring on-time performance, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Coordinate and dispatch non-emergency medical transportation requests
- Assign, schedule, and monitor NEMT trips in real time
- Dispatch trips using Route Genie Driver App
- Verify trip data accuracy, mileage, timestamps, and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with facilities, case managers, and patients
- Track delays, no-shows, will-calls, cancellations, and reroutes
- Ensure compliance with company and broker and Medi-Cal processes
- Manage daily office operations, including data entry and maintaining records
- Oversee fleet management activities such as vehicle maintenance scheduling, tracking via GPS, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Process Medi-Cal Treatments Authorization Request forms
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal Billing Processes (specifically Medi-Cal TARS)

Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Availability: Mornings, afternoons, rotating weekends
