Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to oversee our Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the dispatch team, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of patients, and maintaining excellent communication with clients, facilities, and transport brokers.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch transportation for patients in accordance with broker guidelines and facility and client needs.
- Manage daily trip manifests and communicate updates to drivers.
- Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous, professional tone and respond to customer inquiries or concerns.
- Coordinate with transportation brokers to confirm trip authorizations, resolve discrepancies, and manage scheduling adjustments.
- Use scheduling software, spreadsheets, and other tools to track, assign, and update trip information.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks and data entry as needed.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Prior experience in a scheduling, dispatch, or administrative role, preferably in transportation or healthcare.
- Professional demeanor and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Ability to learn and use dispatching and scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
