Duties

• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring proper use of mobility aids when necessary
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and vehicles are in optimal condition
• Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps, adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and dispatch, addressing needs with professionalism and compassion
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and any incidents or concerns during shifts

Skills

• Proven experience in NEMT, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations
• Familiarity with paratransit operations and school bus driving is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with diverse clients and team members
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety
• Exceptional driving skills with a clean record and adherence to traffic laws and safety standards
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the patience and empathy needed for working with individuals requiring special assistance
