Title: NEMT Driver & Medical Transport Assistant - $17.50/hr + Raise

Pay: Starting at $17.50 per hour with a guaranteed performance review and raise within the first 90 days.

Touch of Kindness Transportation provides vital Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) to seniors and patients throughout our community. We are looking for dependable, compassionate individuals to serve as Drivers and Transport Assistants.

Experience & Qualifications

No Previous NEMT Experience Required – We Will Train the Right Person!

We are looking for individuals with the right heart and attitude. While we can teach you how to operate a vehicle and secure a wheelchair, we cannot teach compassion.

We Highly Prefer Candidates With:

Caregiving Backgrounds: If you have experience as a CNA, HHA, or Home Care Aide, your skills will translate perfectly here.
NEMT Experience: Prior experience with non-emergency medical transport or specialized transit is a major plus.

Immediate Hiring Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

Drug Testing: Must pass a pre-employment 10-panel drug screen (and remain subject to random testing per PA PUC regulations).
Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check
( fingerprinting may be required).
Driving Record: Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations.
Age: Must be 25+ years old.

Your Responsibilities:

Door-through-Door Service: Assist patients safely from their homes into our vehicles and into their medical appointments.
Heavy Lifting: Maneuver wheelchairs and assist passengers with physical mobility challenges (must be able to lift/push 50-100+ lbs).
Vehicle Safety: Perform daily pre-trip inspections and ensure all passengers are secured using 4-point tie-down systems.
Patient Care: Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic environment for passengers in medical transit.
