NEMT Driver – Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other healthcare-related destinations. The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, and committed to providing excellent customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments in a timely manner
  
• Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle when needed, including those with mobility challenges
  
• Secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices properly
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized vehicle
  
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies
  
• Use GPS/navigation tools to ensure efficient routing
  
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
  
• Complete trip logs, documentation, and required reports accurately
  

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (NC) with a clean driving record
  
• Must be at least 21 years of age (or per company insurance requirements)
  
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Ability to lift and assist passengers as needed (may require lifting up to 50 lbs)
  
• Previous driving or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
  
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  
• Knowledge of the Raleigh area and surrounding communities
