Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nephrologist MD or NP to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nephrology and demonstrate expertise in patient care, clinical research, and the management of kidney-related disorders. This role requires proficiency in EHR systems and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients with various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases and related conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform procedures such as catheterization and manage dialysis treatments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize EHR systems, including Epic, for accurate documentation and patient management.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance nephrology practices.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD/ NP ) with board certification in Nephrology.
- Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient nephrology settings.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including CT scans relevant to nephrology.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD), and documentation practices.
- Experience with critical care, including ICU experience, is preferred.
- Knowledge of related specialties such as endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and urology is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
