Nesting/AUTOCAD engineer

Summary:

This is a full-time role in TNT, located in Attibele, Bangalore for a “ Nesting Engineer”. The duties for this role include but are not limited to, working closely with the Team Lead to develop shop drawings, fabrication / erection drawings with CAD and Tekla software and especially “nesting for steel structures and pre-engineered buildings”.

Role:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ProNest, Most2D or other industry-related nesting software.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience in generating fabrication drawings, shop and erection drawings for steel structures and pre-engineered buildings.
• Experience with plasma cutting and other related software.
• Hands-on experience in generating CNC files for the plasma machines using Most2D, ProNest or any other nesting software.
• Work with shop personnel to resolve issues arising in the manufacturing process, including reviewing punch lists for completeness against the contract documents, BOMS and cut sheets, fabricating fit-in-place assemblies, pieces or assemblies that require cutting, grinding, welding and final finishing in order to match approved shop drawings.
• Knowledge about raw material sizes and industry standards.
• Ability to achieve minimum scrap percentage with efficient nesting process.

Qualification & Abilities:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed objectives.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work within a team environment.
• Minimum 2-3 yrs of experience in same field of nesting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
