NetApp Storage Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced NetApp ONTAP Consultant to serve as a dedicated resident supporting a large enterprise financial services client. This 8-month engagement (with strong likelihood of renewal) will focus on leading and executing complex storage migrations within a highly regulated environment.

The consultant will work under the direction of the storage operations manager and technical leads, providing hands-on expertise, migration leadership, and stakeholder communication throughout the engagement.IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:The ideal candidate is a senior-level storage consultant with deep ONTAP expertise, strong migration execution experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a large, regulated enterprise environment. This individual must be highly collaborative, technically strong, and comfortable working as a dedicated resident embedded within a client organization.THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NETAPP CONSULTANT:

• Serve as a full-time resident storage consultant supporting a large enterprise customer environment
• Lead and execute storage migration initiatives utilizing NetApp ONTAP as a core dependency
• Collaborate with storage operations managers and technical leads to deliver migration objectives
• Communicate migration progress, risks, and issue resolution updates to extended client and stakeholder teams
• Document migration processes, integration challenges, and develop solution recommendations
• Provide expert-level consulting to analyze and evaluate complex storage solutions across large-scale, technically challenging environments
• Troubleshoot storage performance issues using NetApp storage management tools
• Support cutover execution during designated change windows
• Ensure compliance with regulated industry processes and governance standards

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:

• Extensive experience working in large enterprise customer environments
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in NetApp ONTAP (engineering and administration)
• Proven hands-on experience executing enterprise storage migrations (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of NetApp storage concepts and related technologies
• Experience deploying and administering NetApp ONTAP, including performance troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of object and file storage protocols and technologies, including:
• S3
• CIFS
• NFS
• Experience working within regulated industries and navigating compliance-driven processes
• Ability to analyze complex customer solutions and contribute to business and technical strategy
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with NetApp StorageGrid
• Experience deploying and using Datadobi StorageMAP (formerly DobiMigrate) for planning and executing data migrations
• Hands-on experience planning migrations with end users and executing cutovers during defined change windows
