Netsuite Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and budget forecasting to support organizational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and implement internal audit procedures to safeguard assets.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff by providing guidance on technical accounting issues such as GAAP, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and governmental accounting standards.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, tax filings, and support external audits with thorough documentation and transparency.
  • Maintain expertise in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools to optimize workflows.
  • Support corporate finance activities including journal entries, accrual accounting, and financial report writing to facilitate strategic initiatives.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial statement interpretation.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP standards along with non-profit accounting practices when applicable.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements related to securities law, governmental accounting standards, and LIHTC programs.
  • Proven ability to mentor teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills for financial analysis, forecasting, budget management, and cash flow evaluation.
  • Expertise in account reconciliation procedures including general ledger reconciliation and bank statement review.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience related to corporate finance, and auditing procedures for comprehensive financial oversight.
