NetSuite Finance Functional Consultant (Freelancer / Part-Time)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Finance Functional Consultant (Freelancer) with 6–7 years of hands-on NetSuite experience to support ongoing implementations, enhancements, and finance process optimizations. This is a part-time remote role, requiring 2–3 hours of daily availability, ideal for independent consultants or professionals seeking flexible engagement.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

NetSuite Finance Support & Implementation

• Support end-to-end NetSuite financial module implementations including requirement analysis, configuration, testing, and post-go-live support.
• Provide functional expertise for GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.

Requirements Analysis & Advisory

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand finance requirements and propose best-practice NetSuite solutions.
• Act as a functional advisor for finance-related NetSuite queries and enhancements.

Configuration & Optimization

• Configure and optimize:
• Chart of Accounts
• Taxation and compliance rules
• Financial periods and controls
• Approval workflows and finance-related automations

Data Migration & Validation

• Assist with financial data migration, reconciliation, and validation from legacy systems.

Testing & UAT Support

• Prepare test scenarios and support UAT execution, defect resolution, and functional validation.

Financial Reporting

• Design and customize financial reports, saved searches, and dashboards to meet business needs.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Create and maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Ongoing Support

• Provide remote support and troubleshooting during the agreed working hours.
• Recommend continuous improvements based on NetSuite updates and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Expertise

• 6–7 years of experience working as a NetSuite Finance Functional Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience in NetSuite Financial Modules.

Technical Knowledge

• Functional knowledge of SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and basic understanding of SuiteScript.
• Experience working in support, enhancement, or phased implementation models.

Consulting & Communication

• Ability to work independently in a freelance/remote setup.
• Strong communication skills to explain finance concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred)

• NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or Financial User.

• Working Hours: 2–3 hours per day (flexible, based on mutual agreement)
