Position Summary: Maintains and monitors all active network, server, data storage, virtualization and telephony equipment to ensure smooth operations. Evaluates IT infrastructure to sustain optimal reliability, security, compliance, data integrity, and inter-operability with third party systems and applications.
Critical Tasks:
- Manages and oversees all server, data storage, telephony and network performance to adhere with established standards and policies.
- Maintains all standards and security measures to ensure consistency and integrity of all applications and database profiles.
- Integrates new technology, methodologies, and data administration protocols consistent with overall objectives of the organization.
- Develops infrastructure capacity forecasts and requirements based on analysis of current performance levels and ability to meet demands.
- Maintains network connectivity, monitoring performance of servers, data storage and coordinating diagnostic testing to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Oversees overhead paging, networked security cameras, and phone system components to ensure ongoing connectivity and proper operations.
- Evaluates proposed software and hardware platforms to determine effectiveness and compatibility with the overall infrastructure.
- Coordinates testing of operating system enhancements and patches to further organizational needs.
- Monitors data storage and system usage, aligns the rate of growth with available equipment, and reallocate disk space if necessary.
- Acts as escalation for problem troubleshooting, and participates in on-call rotation
- Manages system backup, restore and disaster recovery testing processes
- Performs other job-related activities as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in information technology or closely related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred; OR equivalent combination of experience, training, certifications and education may be considered.
- 5 years of experience maintaining Local Area Networks (LAN), server, data storage, virtualization and/or telephony infrastructure, including design and implementation of large-scale network systems required.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
