We are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer II specializing in Break/Fix Data to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and restoring complex network systems across diverse environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless data flow and network stability, supporting our clients’ critical operations with proactive support and rapid resolution of issues.
Duties
- Fully remote W-2 hourly position.
- Work as a member of a remote team that provides break/fix support for enterprise customers for “data” services, including managed routing, managed security, switching, MNE, ENE.
- Routing, switching, firewall configurations and troubleshooting for live customers of a Tier 1 service provider.
- Implement and support network security protocols including Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki devices, as well as legacy solutions and newer standardized solutions.
- This is a typical business hour 40 hours a week position, but one week a month you will be expected to serve as part of an on-call rotation and will be expected to work outside of typical business hours
Requirements
- Experience in the telecom industry working with large businesses and enterprise customers.
- Networking certification level knowledge. You will be trained on normal processes and procedures, but will not be trained on general vendor/equipment knowledge.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise-level IT infrastructure with a focus on data center operations.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 6 month to start, but likely to extend far past a year or more.
- Must reside in the U.S.
Pay: $54.00 per hour
