Internship opportunity – Junior Network Engineer

Axians Qatar, the operational entity of Cegelec Qatar (a subsidiary of VINCI Energies Oil & Gas), was established in 2020 to meet the growing demands of the Qatari market in telecommunications, IoT cybersecurity, and industrial networks.

Your Mission

As a Junior Network Engineer intern, you will support the strategic implementation, maintenance, and support of IP-based network infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing network design and engineering documentation
• Deploying circuits related to IP switching and routing
• Supporting WAN connectivity
• Overseeing installation and commissioning of network equipment
• Configuring Cisco firewalls and network management platforms such as Cisco EPNM
• Implementing network changes at both the individual circuit level and across larger network segments

Profile

• Education: Student from an engineering school or university, specializing in Telecommunications or Computer Engineering
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of WAN networks
  • Knowledge of routing protocols: TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Familiarity with BGP, Cisco Call Manager, VPN, and traffic engineering
  • Good understanding of IP Telephony and VoIP, including the impact of jitter, packet loss, and latency
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP networks
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS and Cisco EPNM
• Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

• Preferred start date: 5 to 6 months from January / February 2026
• Stipend based on the Intern's background and qualification
