Network Engineer Lead

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineering Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership and operational coordination across a complex Operational Technology network environment. The successful candidate will ensure engineering activities are effectively prioritised, managed, and delivered, while driving visibility, governance, and successful outcomes across both project and business-as-usual workstreams.

Responsibilities:

Establish a single, clear view of all Operational Technology network team activities, risks, and dependencies.
Ensure urgent and high-priority work is correctly sequenced, actively managed, and delivered.
Coordinate and distribute engineering work across both projects and BAU activities.
Remove blockers and ensure progress across parallel workstreams.
Maintain momentum against critical work deadlines.
Ensure changes are delivered safely within a live Operational Technology networking environment.
Escalate complex issues and support incident response where required.
Raise risks, gaps, and delays early.
Maintain visibility of work across the Operational Technology network estate.
Ensure effective prioritisation and progression of engineering activities.

Essential skills:

Good understanding of:
- Firewalls
- IP Routing and Switching
- SD-WAN
- Cloud Connectivity
- Network Security Technologies

Desired skills:

Advantageous Experience:
- FortiGate
- Check Point
- SD-WAN
- ExpressRoute
- BGP

Experience:

Recent experience within enterprise network environments.
- Experience guiding configuration activities involving:
- Routers
- Firewalls
- Network estate infrastructure
- Experience working within established guidelines and standards.
