Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure.

This role is primarily focused on network engineering and infrastructure ownership, while also contributing to L1/L2 technical support across client environments within a managed services model. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring network performance, security, and reliability, handling escalations, and supporting day-to-day technical operations.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of network environments, including configuration, performance optimization, security, and incident resolution.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven hands-on expertise, supported by valid, verifiable, and industry-recognized vendor certifications. Certification credentials may be verified during the hiring process.

A valid UAE driving license is mandatory. Candidates outside the UAE must demonstrate the ability to obtain one upon joining.

Key Responsibilities

Network Engineering and Infrastructure

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and VPN environments across multiple clients
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless networks, and firewalls
• Implement VLANs, routing, segmentation, and high-availability configurations

Firewall and Security

• Configure and manage next-generation firewalls (Fortinet preferred or equivalent)
• Implement site-to-site and remote access VPNs
• Define and maintain security policies, NAT rules, and traffic inspection
• Perform periodic firewall audits and security hardening

Troubleshooting and Escalation

• Diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues across multi-site environments
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
• Handle escalations involving routing, firewall behavior, ISP connectivity, and system integration

Technical Support (L1/L2 – Managed Services Context)

• Provide first- and second-level technical support across client environments, covering systems, networks, and end-user issues
• Handle service tickets and technical requests in line with agreed SLAs
• Support system administration tasks such as user management, endpoint troubleshooting, and basic server or cloud operations
• Maintain ownership of incidents through to resolution and proper escalation where required

Client Engagement and Documentation

• Support network-related projects, deployments, and migrations
• Conduct onsite visits for implementation and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams and configurations

Mandatory Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and technical support
• Proven experience managing enterprise network infrastructure beyond basic end-user support
• Experience supporting multi-site or multi-client environments is highly preferred

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (minimum)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet or equivalent next-generation firewalls is required
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher is a strong advantage

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with VLANs, NAT, and network segmentation
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and Cisco networking devices
• Solid understanding of VPN technologies and network security principles

Communication

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and produce clear technical documentation

Driving Requirement

• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory
• Candidates outside UAE must demonstrate eligibility to obtain one upon joining

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an MSP or multi-client environment
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, including systems and endpoint environments
• Awareness of cybersecurity best practices

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
