Job Role:-

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

➢ Should have complete Knowledge on Optical Fiber network operations.

➢ Fiber rectification / jointing of all size cables ( 24F , 48F , 96F & 144F etc )

➢ Fiber testing by firing OTDR , performing the LSPM, analysing the

OTDR reports and identification of faults .

➢ Examine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and organize

scheduled maintenance routines on both MAN and NLD routes.

➢ Splice fiber optic cables including loose tube joints , branch joints

, Midspan joints etc. , Construct a proper splice closure by

grounding , bonding , slack storage , sealing .

➢ Prepare and maintain splicing records schematics and diagrams.

➢ Updating the splice details to central GIS team for the database

creation.

➢ Prepare engineering field notes. Interpret buried underground

and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field

with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in

running line or construction methodologies. Facilitate

conversion into CAD and Visio programs.

➢ Enter and maintain outside plant records. Perform routine

maintenance. Recognize and repair route issues including Hand

Hole clean-up, updating the 3 point location, sign placement.

➢ Knowledge of how to fusion splice both loose tube and ribbon

fiber optic cables. Know how to place a mid7sheath splice.

Qualifications and

Experience

* 10+2/Diploma

Tools & Platform • Microsoft Excel

* Knowledge of Fiber optics network

* Basic knowledge on mobile app handling & online updating
