Network & Security Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a Network & Security Executive to join our Information Technologies team at MAC, Turkey’s leading fitness and wellness company.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the installation, configuration, and sustainable management of MAC’s network and security systems across clubs, offices, and cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining network performance, information security, and business continuity, working closely with both field and HQ operations.

This position reports directly to the Network & Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage network and security devices (Switch, Router, AP, Firewall, VPN, SD-WAN)
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless network, and security infrastructures
• Configure, optimize, and support WAN technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, DSL, etc.)
• Implement and maintain security policies across Network Access Security protocols (AAA, ACL, DHCP Snooping, Port Security, IPsec, 802.1x, NAC)
• Contribute to the planning and operation of Disaster Recovery (DR) centers and backup infrastructures
• Participate in the design, planning, procurement, and installation of LAN and WAN communication infrastructures
• Manage routing protocols (Layer 2/3 VPN, QoS, LDP, BGP, ISIS, etc.) effectively
• Configure and optimize local network (LAN) protocols (VLANs, MST, VTP, dot1Q, MLAG, VRRP, etc.)
• Use network management tools (NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, SSH, etc.) for monitoring and reporting
• Monitor network performance and early warning systems using tools such as PRTG and Zabbix
• Manage and support network and security products (Fortinet, CheckPoint, Aruba, Cisco)
• Conduct network traffic and packet analysis using Wireshark or similar tools
• Optimize VPN, Firewall, and SD-WAN configurations to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analyses, and develop permanent solutions
• Promote team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous technical improvement

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in installation, configuration, and management of network and security devices (Switch, Router, AP, Firewall, VPN, SD-WAN)
• At least 3 years of team leadership experience
• CCNA or equivalent certification
• Advanced knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless network, and firewall management (Fortinet, CheckPoint, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with WAN technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, DSL, etc.)
• Expertise in Network Access Security protocols (AAA, ACL, DHCP Snooping, Port Security, IPsec, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and telecommunication infrastructures
• Experience in network architecture design and topology management
• Practical experience with routing protocols (BGP, LDP, ISIS, Layer 2/3 VPN, QoS, etc.)
• Configuration experience with LAN protocols (VLANs, MST, VTP, dot1Q, MLAG, VRRP, etc.)
• Experience using network management and monitoring tools (NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, SSH, PRTG, Zabbix, etc.)
• Strong command of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with Fortinet Wireless LAN Controller and preferably Aruba/Cisco systems
• Ability to use Wireshark or similar network analysis tools (preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
