Job Summary:
The Network Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring seamless network operations by providing technical support, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and maintaining network performance. Key Responsibilities:
Network Support & Troubleshooting:
- Respond to network-related incidents and service requests.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Escalate complex issues to senior network engineers when necessary.
- Maintain network performance logs and incident reports.
Network Maintenance & Monitoring:
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools.
- Assist in performing routine network maintenance and upgrades.
- Ensure network security measures are followed and updated.
- Support the implementation of disaster recovery procedures.
User Support & Customer Service:
- Provide technical assistance to employees and customers on network-related issues.
- Educate users on best practices for network security and connectivity.
- Assist in configuring and setting up network devices and systems.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing reports on network performance and incidents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in network support or a similar role.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
- Experience with troubleshooting network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
