Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk), Day Shift M-F

GENERAL SUMMARY

Works under the supervision of the Network & Systems Administration Manager of Information Services. The Network Support Specialist's primary job functions are to design, support, install and ensure the continued operation of network hardware and network/client security software. Implements and supports network-centric hardware/software. Implements and supports Information Systems security structure. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam required.
  • Two years of college/training in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.

Licensure:

  • None

Experience:

  • Two years related work experience preferred.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Designs deploys and maintains network-centric hardware/software.

2. Designs, deploys and maintains all Security Software

3. Designs, deploys and maintains Wireless Infrastructure

4. Designs and maintains all printer/copier infrastructure within the organization.

5. Follows all documented policies/procedures for updating department asset system.

6. Responds to after hours emergency calls within 45 minutes of being called.
