Networking Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Networking Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and related hardware/software. This role ensures stable network connectivity, optimal performance, and security across all organizational systems.

Key Responsibilities

Network Installation & Configuration

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and cabling (copper/fiber).
• Set up and manage VLANs, VPNs, and IP addressing schemes (IPv4/IPv6).
• Deploy and maintain network services such as DHCP, DNS, and NTP.

Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.
• Perform routine firmware updates, backups, and patch management for network devices.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, latency issues, and packet loss.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Respond to and resolve network-related help desk tickets (Tier 2/3 support).
• Diagnose and repair physical connectivity issues (cable faults, port failures, hardware malfunctions).
• Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

Security & Compliance

• Implement basic security measures (ACLs, port security, 802.1X).
• Assist in firewall rule management and log analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

Documentation & Planning

• Maintain accurate network diagrams, inventory, and configuration documentation.
• Recommend upgrades, capacity enhancements, and cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance windows.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Pay: ﷼2,000.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
