Networks and Security Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Networks & Security Manager to lead our IT infrastructure team, with a primary focus on managing and securing enterprise networks using Cisco Networks, Cisco Firewalls (ASA/FTD), and Checkpoint Firewalls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and high-performance network environments to ensure business continuity, security compliance, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

· Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure using Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, wireless controllers, etc.).

· Optimize network performance and scalability across LAN, WAN, and WLAN.

· Oversee network architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

· Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives.

Security Management:

· Configure, manage, and monitor Cisco Firewalls (ASA/Firepower) and Checkpoint Firewalls.

· Implement and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, NAT rules, and intrusion prevention systems.

· Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation.

· Manage network access control (NAC), segmentation, and zero-trust policies.

· Coordinate security incident response, root cause analysis, and reporting.

Team & Project Leadership:

· Lead a team of network and security engineers; mentor and develop technical staff.

· Collaborate with IT leadership and other departments to align network/security strategy with business goals.

· Manage third-party vendors and service providers.

· Plan, prioritize, and deliver network/security projects on time and within budget.

Compliance & Documentation:

· Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, or local regulations.

· Maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, configurations, and policies.

· Monitor network and firewall logs; prepare periodic reports and security audits.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· At least 5 years of experience in network and security management roles.

· Strong hands-on experience with:

o Cisco Networking (Catalyst, Nexus switches, routers, wireless, etc.)

o Cisco ASA/Firepower (FTD)

o Checkpoint Firewalls (R80.x and above)

· In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and network troubleshooting tools.

· Experience with VPNs, site-to-site and remote access, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, and IPSec tunnels.

Preferred Certifications (One or More):

· CCNP Security / CCNP Enterprise

· CCIE (Security or Routing & Switching) – preferred

· Checkpoint CCSA / CCSE

· Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) knowledge/certification

· ITIL Foundation or CISSP is a plus
