Neurologist

Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Neurologist with a CALIFORNIA Medical License in good standing to join our esteemed medical team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of neurological disorders and proficiency in diagnosing Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs). We are a very well-established medical practice in the Del Mar/Carmel Valley area of San Diego and have two other neurologists providing services. We seek a third neurologist to take on one full day (8:30 am - 5:00 PM with a half hour for lunch) seeing patients in our Del Mar office with familiarity with CTE, TBI, concussions, dizziness and headaches resulting from head trauma.

Salary is highly competitive, we offer paying the equivalent of $80K per year on the basis of working 1 weekday a week. If candidates have a desire to work more, we can certainly offer more days and hours if candidates have the bandwidth. Also after a patient is well-established, follow up appointments may be conducted via Telemedicine.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with neurological symptoms, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient history, and current best practices in neurology.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients, ensuring continuity and quality of service.
• Utilize our own electronic health record (EHR) (AMBULA) system to document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
• We refer out medical imaging procedures such as CT scans and MRI to aid in the diagnosis of neurological conditions.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding neurological disorders, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Neurology or eligibility for board certification.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, with experience using Epic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to neurology and related fields such as psychiatry, cardiology, and endocrinology.
• Familiarity with various treatment modalities including botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment for neurological conditions as well as Occipital Nerve Blocks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
