Neurologist--Board Certified

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Board-Certified Neurologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing compensation and pension (C & P) exams for U.S. military veterans. You'll access and evaluate TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), stroke, seizure disorders, and other neurological disorders for the veteran to be able to receive the benefits they deserve.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C & P examinations of veterans with neurological conditions.
• Conduct a thorough neurological evaluation, to include reviewing the veteran's medical history
• C & P exams include stroke, headaches, MS, Parkinson's disease and seizure disorders
• Interpret and order diagnostic tests to include MRI scans, CT scans, EEG(s)
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care for veteran
• Strong understanding of C & P exams and VA disability guidelines (preferred but not required)
• Provide medical reports that may outline the neurological issues and how it may be related to the veteran's military service.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of neurological disorders and treatments.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
• Proficiency in developing comprehensive care plans that address both medical and psychosocial aspects of patient health.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
