Neurosurgical NP/PA
Minneapolis, MN
Park Nicollet Clinic is seeking a full-time Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurosurgery practice.
This position works collaboratively with the Neurosurgeons and patient care teams, both in clinic and in the hospital. A Park Nicollet NP/PA will receive a wide range of experiences, offering potential for developing excellent, high quality patient care and will gain exposure to a variety of areas of the Park Nicollet System. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited program. One to two years’ experience in a surgical specialty required. Neurosurgical experience would be helpful.
Responsibilities include: clinic practice, consisting of both new patient consults and follow up return visits; possible first assist in the operating room; hospital rounding and consults; Emergency Center consults. Strong documentation and communication skills required. In conjunction with the supervising neurosurgeon, the neurosurgery NP/PA collaborates on new patient consults to determine if a surgical intervention is indicated. The NP/PA also runs an independent clinic. Rotating weekend and evening call coverage is shared by the team.
