Your Role
This position is responsible for assisting customers in their selection of various bank products and financial services, opening, and closing accounts and safe boxes, performing various branch clerical duties, and promoting business by building and maintaining good customer relations. Also, providing back up as a teller by performing the following duties.

Builds and maintains strong customer relationships with all customers and prospective customers through established customer service and sales standards.

Develops and maintains knowledge of bank products and services.

Maintains confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.

Maintains basic knowledge and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Opens new consumer and business accounts including Certificate of Deposits and Safe Deposit Boxes.

Performs account maintenance, such as signer changes, address changes and basic IRA transactions.

Conducts routine New Account Follow-up calls to build customer relationships and uncover customer needs.

Performs consistent customer follow-up to resolve New Account Exceptions.

Performs CD Maturity calls and CD maintenance.

Identifies referral opportunities and makes relevant referrals to other lines of business.

Backs up teller duties including transaction processing.

Collaborates with Branch Manger to help plan monthly branch sales meetings and run in-branch promotions.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

One to two years related experience and/or training

Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a multi-line telephone, copy machine, scanner, fax, and computer printer. The employee needs to frequently communicate with internal and external contacts and move about inside the branch to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to see color. This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week.
