New Acct Representative

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for opening new deposit accounts, providing customer support, cross-selling additional products, and supporting the overall sales efforts of the bank.


Essential Functions

1. Opens and processes new deposit accounts including IRA accounts

2. Cross-sells the bank’s products and services

3. Provides customer support by completing account-related requests, answering questions, and researching and resolving problems

4. Performs all account administration and maintenance including but not limited to, file maintenance, scanning review, and reporting

5. Understands and complies with bank policies and related laws and compliance regulations

6. Deepens account relationships with existing customers and solicits prospects to the bank by calling on customers and offering beneficial products and services

7. Assists with product promotions

8. Supports other bank employees with maintenance questions concerning customer accounts

9. Refers customers to other bank departments for products and services as appropriate

10. Consistently demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communication skills with customers, coworkers, and outside vendors.

11. Follows all Unison Bank policies and procedures.

12. Regular and reliable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.


Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role. The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position. The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office. The employee is regularly required to handle files and documents as well as regularly operate a computer and keyboard. The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and other staff members and exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and reviewing/inspecting documents.

This is a full-time position.

No travel is required.

Required Education and Experience

High school degree or equivalent; 6 months to 2 years of related experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
