New Construction HVAC Lead Installer

Experienced HVAC New Construction Installer & Finish Technician

Method Air is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC New Construction Installer and to join our growing team. We are a reputable company dedicated to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service in the residential and commercial new construction sector.

As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the complete installation of HVAC systems in new construction projects, from rough-in to final start-up. This includes the installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of new construction processes and the ability to perform the "finish" aspects of the job, ensuring systems are aesthetically pleasing and functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

* Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in new residential and commercial construction projects, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and ductwork.

* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.

* Perform rough-in and finish stages of HVAC installation.

* Install and connect refrigerant lines, ensuring proper brazing and soldering techniques.

* Install and wire low-voltage and line-voltage electrical components.

* Perform system start-ups, including charging with refrigerant, and conduct thorough operational checks.

* Ensure all installations meet local and national building codes and safety standards.

* Collaborate effectively with other construction trades on-site to ensure project timelines are met.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.

* Uphold a high standard of quality and professionalism in all work performed.

Qualifications:

* Experience: A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with a significant focus on new construction projects.

* EPA Certification: Must possess a current EPA Universal or Type II certification for handling refrigerants.

* Technical Skills:

* Proficient in the installation of a wide range of HVAC equipment, including air conditioners.

* Strong understanding of ductwork design and installation.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

* Solid knowledge of HVAC electrical and control systems.

* Experience with the "finish" aspects of HVAC installation, including vent and grille installation, and system commissioning.

* Professionalism:

* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.02 - $40.00 per hour
