New Graduate PMHNP – Structured Mentorship (In-Person/Hybrid)

Overview

Anthem Psychiatry is a rapidly growing private psychiatry practice in North Phoenix, recognized in the top 10 behavioral health organizations in Arizona. We provide high-quality, relationship-based psychiatric care to a predominantly high-functioning, discerning patient population.

We are hiring one exceptional new graduate PMHNP to join a structured mentorship program designed to develop confident, polished, and highly effective clinicians.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to transition from training into a refined outpatient setting, where clinical skill is important but interpersonal presence, judgment, and communication are equally critical.

Who This Role Is For

This position is for individuals who:

  • Have a strong interpersonal presence and communicate with clarity, warmth, and confidence
  • Are comfortable working with high-functioning, high-expectation patients
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence, professionalism, and discretion
  • Take pride in presenting themselves in a polished and composed manner
  • Have a genuine interest in:
  • Psychiatry in outpatient settings
  • Longitudinal patient relationships
  • Thoughtful, individualized care

Prior nursing experience in ER, ICU, or similar environments is highly valued, not for acuity, but for maturity, composure, and decision-making under pressure.

Clinical Approach

Our practice emphasizes:

  • Evidence-based psychiatric care
  • Thoughtful medication management
  • Strong therapeutic alliance and communication
  • Respect for patient autonomy and personal responsibility

We integrate elements of:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Transactional Analysis
  • Stoic philosophy and practical psychology

What You Will Do

  • Conduct comprehensive outpatient psychiatric evaluations
  • Provide medication management and follow-up care
  • Develop individualized, patient-centered treatment plans
  • Build strong, professional relationships with patients over time
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with patients and families
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and clinical reasoning
  • Participate in mentorship, case review, and clinical development

Training & Mentorship

This role includes a structured transition-to-practice model:

  • Gradual onboarding with reduced initial patient load
  • Direct mentorship and clinical guidance
  • Ongoing case discussions and skill development
  • Increasing autonomy based on demonstrated competence

Flexibility and hybrid options increase as trust and clinical independence develop.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited PMHNP program
  • Eligible for or holding Arizona PMHNP licensure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to build rapport with a sophisticated patient population
  • Interest in continuous learning and professional growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • $140,000 – $170,000 per year
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development support
  • Flexible schedule (structured, with increasing autonomy over time)

Culture & Expectations

We value:

  • Professionalism and discretion
  • Personal responsibility
  • Gratitude and respect
  • High-quality patient relationships

This is a high-trust, high-standard environment where clinicians are expected to represent the practice with confidence and integrity.

Long-Term Growth & Partnership Opportunity

Anthem Psychiatry is building a long-term clinical team, not a revolving workforce.

We invest heavily in developing our clinicians and are committed to promoting them from within.

For individuals who demonstrate there is a defined pathway toward leadership and potential partnership within the practice over time. We are looking for:

  • Consistent clinical excellence
  • Strong patient relationships
  • Professional maturity and reliability
  • Alignment with our values and standards

This is not an automatic track. It is an earned opportunity reserved for those who distinguish themselves through performance, character, and contribution.
