  • Assist new employees with questions during the first days on the job
  • Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all state and federal employment laws.
  • Responsible for recruiting, screening, hiring, and delivering the onboarding and orientation process for newly hire production employees
  • Ensure compliance with all written corporate and plant policies.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and Retention Specialist in the areas of employee retention and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, all state and federal labor laws
  • Assist in verifying employment eligibility (i-9, E-Verify, identification documents)
  • Track training completion and maintain training record
  • Schedule new hires according to production needs
  • Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all hourly and salaried employee benefits.
  • Performs various special projects as assigned by the Corporate Director of Human Resources, the Plant Manager, and Human Resources Manager.
  • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Have knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, DOL, ICE and other relevant Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies

Responsible to be capable to complete all tasks within the HR Department.

ü Abnormal situation would include but not limited to:

§ Falsification of company records.

§ Any acts of workplace violence between employees.

§ Use of drug or alcohol on the company property.


Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GED

1-3 years' experience in HE, onboarding, recruiting, training or manufacturing environment

Ability to speak and present clearly to large groups

Strong organizational skills

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, HRIS

Ability to work in a fast-paced high volume hiring environment

Preferred

Bilingual (English and Spanish)

1-3 years of experience in a poultry processing environment

Experience conducting orientation and training sessions, and odors common in poultry processing facilities

  • Working in a normal room temperature environment

Maybe exposed to cold wet environments, noise

  • Standing /sitting/walking 100% of the workday.

Experience

Required
  • 1 - 3 years: 1-3 years onboarding, training or manufacturing/plant environment
Preferred
  • Experience in poultry processing or manufacturing industry
