Now Hiring: Histotechnician/Histotechnologist
Location: Nashville, TN

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Histotechnician to join its laboratory team. This full-time, weekday position plays a vital role in preparing tissue samples for diagnostic evaluation, with a focus on embedding, microtomy, and special staining procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Embed and section all types of paraffin-embedded tissues

• Perform microtomy following established lab protocols

• Conduct special stains and IHC procedures as needed

• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and ensure proper QC

• Assist with case assembly, block/slide filing, and waste disposal

• Support departmental quality assurance and safety standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Formal histology training or on-the-job histology experience

• ASCP certification is highly preferred

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a histology lab (embedding and/or microtomy)

• Familiarity with lab safety and hazardous material handling
