Experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) – 3-Month Live-In Contract

A warm and welcoming private family based in San Juan, Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support them through the first three months following the arrival of their baby.
The family is looking for a calm, nurturing professional who can provide hands-on newborn support while helping establish healthy routines and rhythms that will continue serving the family long after the contract concludes.
This is a 3-month live-in contract position with the potential to extend for the right candidate.
Position Details
- Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico (Live-In)
- Expected Start Date: November 2026 (based on baby's arrival)
- Contract Duration: 3 Months / 90 Days
- Schedule: Flexible daytime and overnight newborn support
- Daily Break: One designated break period of approximately four (4) consecutive hours
- Accommodation: Private accommodations provided
- Travel: Potential family travel during the contract period
- Employment Structure: Compensation will be paid through either a W-2 or 1099 arrangement, depending on the final employment structure agreed upon by the family and candidate
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Daily Rate: $500–$600 per day, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit
- Private accommodations included
- All airfare and required travel expenses covered by the family
- 1.5x daily rate for federally recognized holidays worked
- Meals provided through household groceries, meal arrangements, a household card, meal stipend, or other reasonable accommodations provided by the family
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate newborn care
- Support feeding, sleep, soothing, hygiene, and daily newborn routines
- Assist parents in establishing sustainable systems and structure for long-term success
- Monitor feeding schedules, sleep patterns, and overall newborn well-being
- Support bottle preparation, sterilization, and newborn-related organization
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding observations and progress
- Provide a calm, reassuring presence throughout the postpartum period
- Travel with the family if needed and assist with newborn-related travel preparation and organization
- Maintain newborn-related areas, supplies, and belongings
Requirements
- Extensive newborn care experience required
- Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification preferred
- Experience working in private homes preferred
- Must be nurturing, emotionally intelligent, and highly professional
- Strong understanding of newborn sleep, feeding, and developmental needs
- Comfortable balancing structure with flexibility and responsiveness
- Travel-ready and comfortable supporting a family in dynamic environments
- Experience packing, organizing, and anticipating newborn-related travel needs
- Professional references required
- Valid passport preferred

Pay: From $500.00 per day
