About the Family

A warm and welcoming family is preparing to welcome their newborn son in late June 2026 and is seeking an experienced, nurturing Newborn Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist to support them during this important transition.

The family also has an energetic preschool-aged daughter who is excited to become a big sister. She enjoys dance, gymnastics, singing, arts and crafts, and creative play. While newborn care will be the primary focus, the ideal caregiver will be warm and comfortable engaging with the older sibling when appropriate and when newborn care allows.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a confident, experienced newborn care professional who thrives in the early infant stage and enjoys supporting families as they establish healthy routines, feeding patterns, and sleep foundations.

This is a short-term 3–6 month contract with guaranteed weekly hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, hands-on care for a newborn (feeding, diapering, soothing, monitoring well-being)
• Support healthy sleep and feeding routines
• Prepare and sanitize bottles and feeding supplies
• Complete newborn-related laundry and maintain a clean, organized nursery
• Support early development through tummy time and age-appropriate sensory activities
• Offer guidance and reassurance to parents regarding newborn care and milestones
• Maintain a safe, calm, and nurturing environment at all times
• Occasionally engage the older sibling with light, age-appropriate activities when appropriate

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of paid professional newborn care experience
• Experience as a Newborn Care Specialist, Newborn Nanny, Postpartum Support Specialist, or similar role
• CPR and First Aid certification (current)
• Strong knowledge of infant development, sleep, feeding, and safety practices
• Professional, dependable, and highly organized
• Warm, calm, and confident demeanor with strong communication skills
• Collaborative approach when working with parents
