New/Junior Associate Attorney (Commercial Lending and Real Estate)

Rick Steiner Fell & Benowitz LLP is seeking an associate attorney to join our busy commercial lending team in New York City. You will have direct client contact with an opportunity to build your skills and engage in client development.

Position: Commercial Lending/Real Estate Associate Attorney

Location: New York City:

Experience: 0-3 years of experience

Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000 (or greater if commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Review credit memorandums

Review and analyze due diligence items (organizational documents, title commitments, judgment, litigation and lien searches, etc)

Maintaining closing checklists, coordinating closings, preparing signature pages, preparing and reviewing flow of funds memos

Track and manage deadlines and document workflows across multiple active files

Ideal Candidate

Highly qualified real estate associate with 1-3 years of law firm experience handling complex and sophisticated lending transactions on behalf of institutional lenders or new attorneys with a demonstrable interest in lending, banking and real estate

Candidates should be team players with strong interpersonal skills who are comfortable working in a close-knit, collegial group

Candidates should have experience running deals from inception through closing, including review of diligence materials and drafting and negotiating loan documents

Bar Admission in New York, pending application, or ability to waive-in, is required

Timeline:

Interviews will be scheduled for the first week of November with a target start date just before/after Thanksgiving
