News Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Editor to lead the editorial direction of our aviation and MRO-focused magazine and digital platforms. The Editor will be responsible for developing, curating, and managing high-quality content that informs, engages, and influences professionals across the global aviation and aerospace maintenance ecosystem.

This role requires strong editorial judgment, expertise in digital publishing, and an in-depth understanding of aviation industry trends, MRO operations, and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute an editorial strategy aligned with the company’s vision and audience needs.
• Identify emerging trends, and innovations for relevant coverage.
• Plan and manage editorial calendars for print and digital channels.

Editorial Management

• Commission, edit, and proofread articles, interviews, features, and technical reports.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain consistent tone, style, and brand voice across all platforms.

Team Leadership

• Manage and guide writers, contributors, and freelancers.
• Provide feedback, quality control, and editorial mentorship.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and digital teams for cohesive content delivery.

Digital & Print Publishing

• Oversee website content updates, newsletters, and digital engagement.
• Coordinate production for magazine layout, design, and timely publication.
• Optimize digital content for SEO and audience analytics.

Industry Engagement

• Build and maintain industry relationships with airlines, OEMs, regulators, and service providers.
• Represent the publication at conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows.
• Conduct interviews with thought leaders and experts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Aviation Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of editorial experience, ideally in aviation, aerospace, or technical publishing.
• Strong knowledge of aviation operations, MRO processes, and regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, DGCA, etc.).
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Experience leading editorial teams and managing external contributors.
• Proficiency in CMS, digital publishing tools, SEO, and analytics.
• Strong industry networking and relationship-building skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹45,833.00 per month
